Anand had the black pieces today and came out on top after a hard fight. During the final stages of the game IM Malcolm Pein makes the case that Anand missed a forced win but this would be understandable as there is a tremendous amount of pressure upone both players to win this match-up. This game sets us up for a real battle royal tomorrow... now that Anand has the White pieces we can only wonder will he play 1.e4 or 1.d4?
